Notes or Communication in each Job

The communication tab provides an invaluable central reference source for a contextual history of the job. 

Notes / Communication is a sub-feature of Jobs. You can access the feature within a Job by selecting the Communication tab in the Job window. 

What is a Note? 

Notes are a text and image document that can be entered and stored for each Job about: 

  • milestones and significant events 
  • client contact reports/conversations with the client 
  • brief/specification 
  • changes to brief/specification 
  • approval dates and updates  

Each Note is dated and recorded with the author’s name, and JobBag saves a history of changes. Notes can also be used on Address Book records. 


Default Note Types

System Notes are notes created automatically every time the status of a job is changed, a quote is approved or unapproved, or if an approved quote is altered. 

Emails can be saved as notes. This note type is automatically created by the system once an email is sent from JobBag. 

WIP Notes are a default type of Note that can be used to provide a Work in Progress update about a Job. This note type is not automatically created by the system.

Create a Note for a Job

Notes can be added or edited at any time, reviewed completely by scrolling the page and printed, either individually or all selected notes. 


Print Note or a list of Notes

Notes can be viewed and printed using the print option. They can be saved as PDF's or emailed.
