Awards and the Leaderboard

What are Awards?

JobBag allows your team to earn awards for doing things that make your system work better and when the business does well.

Awards can be earned for:

  • Getting their timesheets done in a timely way (more on that later);
  • Getting a task done on or within the budget;
  • Making jobs Dead (or archived, depending what the final job status is called in your system).

The performance of the whole team can be seen on the Leaderboard that appears in the Dashboard, you can also see more details about how the points were earned and comparisons to previous months (or last year) the Awards window, under the Stats menu.

How to earn Awards ?

Awards can be earned for:

  • Making jobs Dead (or archived, depending what the final job status is called in your system).

Earning awards for timesheets

There is a nominal capacity (in hours) set for every day that you are scheduled to work, this is shown in the Active Diary and in your JBX calendar.  We will use 8 hours as the capacity number for the purposes of this article.

If you enter all timesheets for the day that equal or exceed the your nominal capacity, you will be awarded a certain number of points.  The number of points awarded will depend on when you enter your timesheets.

  • If you enter all you timesheets for a day on the same day, you will receive 100 points.
  • If you enter all of your timesheets for a day the following day, you will receive 50 points.
  • If you enter all your timesheets for a day 2 days later you will received 10 points.
  • If you enter timesheets for a day any later than 2 days after the day of the timesheets, you won't earn any points.
  • If you enter all of your timesheets for the whole week within the week you will earn bonus of 100 points.

Earning points for completing a task within budget

Account managers (or whomever is the role that is actively managing the job have a large part to play in rewarding activity that ensures jobs get done on budget.  When you assign a task to someone and give it a budget, the person assigned will record their timesheets on that task.  If the task is marked as completed and the actual time on the task is less than or on budget, the person who was assigned the task will get an award.

Where do I see Awards for me or my team?

Awards earned appear against your name in the Leaderboard.  They don't ever expire, but the Leaderboard is based on a rolling 14 day cycle.  This means in order to stay near or at the top of the leaderboard, you need to perform consistently.
