Unit Types for Items
When setting up an Item, a nit type has to be selected. You can configure many unit types. The following is an example of the system unit types:
Click on the Unit Types icon in the kinds window:
The following screen appears:
Click on the green plus sign to add a unit type
Add a new unit type, for example “pieces”
| Description | Enter a description for this unit type |
| Unit | Unit for this type eg kilometers, kilograms, boxes, books etc |
| Decimals | Number of decimals for entering units, this overrides the system wide setting |
| Multiplier | Multiplier to apply to the units entered when calculating the cost or value of an item |
| Use for | Select whether this is usable with kinds or items |
